How does AeroMACS and
WiMax use PKI to ensure
trust?

How does Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communication System (AeroMACS) and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMax) use PKI to ensure trust?

AeroMACS is a wireless technology used by major international regulatory bodies to support the safety and regularity of flight. It enables ground-to-aircraft communications at airports internationally. Aircraft IoT sensors secured by PKI transmit the information to towers and planes ensuring that the communications are protected.Ìý

WiMax is also a broadband wireless technology that is used to provide broadband internet to large areas up to 30 miles compared to WiFi which only reaches up to 100 feet.Ìý

PKI is used to secure both AeroMACs and WiMax connections in order to ensure the integrity, authenticity, confidentiality and non-repudiation of those communications.
